General Questions on Calibration and Instrument Repair

Look for the answers to the most common questions on Calibration:

Calibrating involves comparing measurements of any two instruments. One standard device with a known correctness, and two, the unit that needs to be measured. Calibration has been defined by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures as an “Operation that, under specified conditions, in the first step, establishes a relation between the quantity values with measurement uncertainties provided by the measurement standards and corresponding indications with associated measurement uncertainties (of the calibrated instrument or secondary standard) and, in the second step, uses this information to establish a relation for obtaining a measurement result from an indication”.

The following are the reasons why we need to be calibrate our instruments regularly:

  1.  Often we don’t have the right equipment or expertise to check if any instrument supplied by a manufacturer is correct as per the specifications  agreed during purchase. So calibration is necessary to check its accuracy.
  2. As you use instruments, they cause wear and tear as we keep using them daily. Some instruments need to be checked if they are being used in factories etc. to produce bulk products. Also the products need to be checked for quality assessment, because the products manufactured from the instrument manufactured undergoes changes due to wear and tear. This indicates that the  accuracy of an instrument has been deviated.
  3. We need to calibrate the instruments to know the exact deviation
  • The inspection activity needs to be precise, because there is always some difference in reading displayed by the instrument compared to the actual value. Calibration actually checks  which readings are deviating from actual values so that we can add or subtract to get the final precise reading.

Achieve compliance, cost savings and quality

Calibration determines measurement equipment performance. With routine equipment calibration and adjustment, you can measure safely, ensure compliance and avoid the costs of inaccurate measurements.

Achieve and maintain compliance through consistent procedures and adhere to local and global regulations and standards, such as:

  • ISO 17025
  • EURAMET
  • USP, GLP and GMP
  • NIST Handbook 44 and OIML
  • Measuring Instruments Directive (MID)

Annual care packages for those whose performance determines quality of output.

Questions about our company

We have started in the year 2008 in the feild of calibration and ever since we have been innovating and improving our expertise with the changing dynamics of the instrumentation industry.

We have served several industries in the years over the years which include the medical labs, manufacturing factories and also in the software industry.

We have a lab in New Jersey where we calibrate most of the instruments where site visit is not needed or recommended.

Manikanth Talla is the founder of the organisation and under his aegis a number of people have been trained including his own family members.

Questions on proceeding with us

Just send us a work order or simply call us. We can assess the need as per the requirement and suggest a site visit or the instruments to be sent to our lab.

We respond almost immediately and will assess the instrument and your requirement and then give you a suitable date for completing the job.

Since calibration is a highly customised, the cost is highly variant.

We offer our services PAN USA for any on-site visit.
